The Pearl President Series Deluxe snare drum recreates the dark, chewy tonal character and vintage fittings of its namesake from the middle of the 1960s while maintaining the legendary 21st-century durability of modern Pearl snares. Its 6-ply lauan wood shell has rounded 45-degree edges and a cool ripple wrap that reveals the vintage appearance and sound of Pearl's cherished President Series drums. This snare is positively brimming with vintage flavor, from its modified Battleship lugs to its Silver Script logo. This 8-lug snare drum has triple-flanged, 2.3mm Superhoop II hoops for a vintage open tone and road-ready durability. To effectively use the bite and snarl of its bass-enhanced shell, it is equipped with a Remo UT CS Black Dot batter head. Look inside, and you'll see a feature that is useful for the studio: an adjustable tone muffler with an external dial to help focus stick attack and dry up undesirable over ring.
