We are pleased to offer a truly unique and exceptional pre-loved instrument, the Rick Turner Featherweight Model 1, crafted by the legendary master luthier Rick Turner. Rick was renowned for his admiration of the Featherweights, especially those with a Cedar core instead of Mahogany. As Rick often said, “The Cedar core gives the guitar a slightly more acoustic flavor.”

Unlike most Model 1 guitars, which have a “cap” on the top side only, this Model 1 Featherweight features both the top and back capped with Myrtlewood, sandwiching a western Red Cedar core. This design results in a more responsive attack, offering all the classic tones of the Standard Model 1 but with enhanced sonic dynamics. Achieve that classic Lindsey Buckingham tone with added versatility and comfort, as this Featherweight is about a full pound lighter than the Mahogany Model 1, making long gigs much easier on your shoulders.

This guitar includes the option to blend Piezo pickups with the Magnetic Pickup as desired. The fit and finish are superb, with curves and asymmetry that are not only functional but also beautiful and comfortable.

Rick Turner tragically passed away in April 2022, making his instruments highly sought after, collectable and rare.
